Best way to install LEMP (Linux, Nginx, mySQL, PHP) on Ubuntu

UPDATE, June 27, 2014: This post is sort of obsolete now.  Use EasyEngine!  I’ve posted about it in detail here.

I spent way too long trying unsuccessfully to install a LEMP stack (Linux, Nginx, mySQL, PHP) on Ubuntu on EC2.  The only tutorial that actually worked is this one:
